While the oil is flowing out, take care of the oil filter; you need to carefully unscrew it; as a rule, this is not so easy to do because at the factory the oil filter is installed automatically and most likely it is screwed in with greater force than human force. To make it easier to dismantle the filter, pierce it, but be careful, oil will also leak from it.

After you have changed the filter, all the old oil has left your car - tighten the plug, return the crankcase protection to its place and lower the Lada Xray from heaven to earth.

Problems during the test drive

Despite all the advantages of the VAZ 21179 engine, problems are still discovered during its operation. First of all, this is the “maslozhor” that has already become traditional for the latest VAZ engines. On a specimen subjected to a test drive, over six months of intensive use in different road conditions with a mileage of 40,000 km, in addition to the oil burn, other malfunctions of the oil system were revealed.

3. The same can be said about the quality of gasoline: we refueled at the first gas stations we came across, both in the city and in the regional outback.

Thus, the result of the problems that arose was quite natural, once again confirming the correctness of the factory instructions, according to which the VAZ 21179 engine is very sensitive to the quality of fuels and lubricants.

If the car has high mileage

Many new cars have appeared in Russia, but in rural areas and small towns there are still many Lada cars that are no longer produced.
