Our tips, which I hope will help you choose a car alarm:
1. Take only reliable, time-tested and well-proven companies.
2. Don't skimp on additional features. Try to take car alarms with two-way communication and with auto start (if necessary), because the cost of installing any car alarm is approximately the same and amounts to 4000-6000 rubles. Therefore, it is not profitable to take a simple car alarm for 1000 rubles and pay 5000 rubles for installation. It is much more profitable to take a good, modern and reliable alarm system for 5000-7000 rubles and install it for the same money.
3. Do not look at the country of manufacture of the car alarm. Basically they are all made in China, but that doesn’t make them any worse.
4. It is always advisable to install an additional secret in parallel to the car alarm, which does not depend on the car alarm, because the key fob can be stolen, picked up or scanned.
5. You must always understand that no matter what the car’s security system is, it won’t be difficult for a good specialist to steal a car. You can steal almost any car, another thing is that why bother with cars that have good car alarms and mechanical anti-theft devices, when there are many cars without alarms at all.
6. You also need to understand that car alarms still signal more, but you must act yourself. If your car alarm has responded (beeped or the key fob beeped), then you need to run to the car as quickly as possible.
7. Try to buy new car alarm models. They are usually more sophisticated, have more functions, and their price is usually no more expensive than older models.
8. The quality of the final product (car alarm, its installation and configuration) greatly depends on the skill of the installer and on the use of non-standard solutions, which greatly complicates the theft of a car.
9. Take common and well-known companies. They are more reliable. The main thing is that the car alarm does not go off on the road.
10. Some car alarms have discounts. Of course, these are worth taking. You can save a lot of money, especially on expensive models.
11. For many modern car alarms, you can purchase a satellite module, which will send the car’s coordinates via cellular communications. Previously, such modules (or alarms in general) were quite expensive, but now the price for them has dropped significantly. Therefore, if before it was not advisable to take them, now it is possible to take them.
Car alarms aps, features of operation and model range

11. Silent arming and disarming of the system
a) Press and release the transmitter button to arm the system without confirmation from the siren. In this case, the direction indicators and system LEDs will function as during normal arming of the system. In addition, when the system is triggered, the siren will immediately turn on
The full 30-second alarm cycle will read and sound, and the auxiliary pager output will be immediately activated.
b) To disarm the system without confirming siren signals, press and release the transmitter button. In this case, the direction indicators and system LEDs will function as if the system was normally disarmed.
ATTENTION:
when silently arming or disarming the system, 3 and 4 siren signals (Warning about an open or faulty circuit and Pre
system alarm) will not be disabled.
12. 2-step AVP - disarming the system in 2 stages
The function of disarming the system in 2 stages (programmable function #11) allows you to further increase the anti-theft protection of your car
both from attempts to disable the security system using various electronic devices (such as the “409” device), and from the theft of your car keys with the system’s key fob transmitter.
If programmable function # 11 is enabled, then after disarming the system by pressing the button or transmitter button, the system will sound
standard confirmation tones, will unlock the car doors and disable the system triggers, but the car engine will remain locked
nom.
To disable the engine interlock circuits, turn the ignition on and within 15 seconds press and release the Valet button switch one
times, or enter your personal system shutdown code (depending on the state of programmable function # 10). You will hear 2 siren signals and will be able to start the car engine.
ATTENTION:
This function cannot be implemented when the security mode is turned off with the engine running.
13. Warning about system activation
If, when disarming the system, you hear 4 siren signals, this means that the system was activated during your absence. The LED will be
flash a certain number of times after a pause, indicating which circuit triggered the system:
• if the system is triggered by a door trigger, by turning on the ignition or by turning off the power, the LED will blink in a series of 2 flashes through
zu;
• if the system was triggered by the main zone of the shock sensor, the LED will blink in a series of 3 flashes after a pause;
• if the system is triggered by the hood or trunk, the LED will blink in a series of 4 flashes after a pause;
Information about the system activation will be erased when the ignition is turned on or when the system is armed using the transmitter.

Connecting and disconnecting security systems
To connect alarm systems APS 1350, 1500, 2700, 2800, 2900 and others, instructions should always be used. A two-button key fob is used to control the systems. Disabling an alarm is sometimes more difficult than installing and configuring, but if you get to the bottom of the problem, it is not so difficult to solve.
In order to correctly connect the APS car alarm, models 1500, 2800, 2700, 2900, you should perform the following steps:
- read what the instructions say;
- study all the connection points that the standard diagram displays;
- make sure that the car alarm is complete with all the necessary parts for connection;
- find a place to connect the central unit by disassembling the dashboard;
- prepare the alarm for installation, lay the wiring;
- install the sensors in the manner required by the instructions;
- install an LED indicator and a siren;
- connect the wires to the light bulb, central unit, limit switches and check the operation of the system using the key fob.
Standard equipment of APS security systems
Each alarm system of this brand is distinguished by high quality indicators. The key fob always runs on batteries that last up to two years. The connection diagram for these security systems is simple, and their standard configuration looks like this:
- control key fob and spare key fob;
- main system unit;
- antenna cable or model;
- standard set of wires for connection;
- set of limit switches;
- shock sensor and other sensors;
- jack button;
- instructions for connection and operation.
This configuration is typical for security systems type 2900 and others. To control all programs and functions of alarm systems, a key fob is used, in which the batteries must be constantly changed.
Security systems of domestic production are suitable for most modern vehicles and have high levels of reliability and performance. They can perform their functions at fairly high or low temperatures. A key fob is always used to control the system, and the user can leave a spare version at home or in the car. If the key fob is broken, it will be repaired in a workshop or they will recommend buying a new one.
APS security systems are very popular in the domestic automotive market. The reliability of alarm systems has been tested over the years, becoming higher and more accessible to a wide range of users. The simple installation of the systems, ease of configuration and use, allowed car enthusiasts to fully appreciate all the positive qualities of the domestic manufacturer. Each system has a convenient and easy-to-use key fob, which allows you to create additional comfort for the motorist.
The increased level of protection against unauthorized entry is also proven by statistical data, according to which the theft of cars with APS car alarms occurs less frequently. Every motorist wants to protect his own vehicle as much as possible, and domestic protection systems help many with this. The high quality and comfortable price from the manufacturer have already attracted the interest of many users, and they were able to understand, during the operation of the systems, that they had made the right choice.

Note:
if the system was triggered by an attempt to turn on the ignition and the ignition remained on, the alarm mode cannot be turned off with a switch
sensor, you must first turn off the vehicle ignition.
• if you then press and release any of the transmitter buttons again, you will hear 4 siren signals, the turn signals will flash 4 times and
the system will be disarmed. The LED will flash in a series of 2, 3 or 4 flashes to indicate the zone that has triggered the system (see System Trigger Warning section below).
Note:
Disabling the alarm mode when the ignition is left
on
is impossible.
9. False alarm protection function
In order to minimize false alarms of the system and not disturb others, you can use the programmable false alarm protection function (function # 8). When this feature is enabled:
• If the shock sensor warning zone is activated 10 times within 30 minutes, this system input will be automatically disabled for 1 hour (or up to
disarming the system if this happens earlier).
• If the main shock sensor zone is triggered 5 times within 60 minutes, this system input will also be automatically disabled for 1 hour (or up to
disarming the system if this happens earlier).
Disabling different zones of the shock sensor occurs independently of each other.
ATTENTION:
Disabling the shock sensor zones will be immediately canceled when the system is triggered by opening a door, hood or trunk.
10. Disarming the system. Automatic re-arming of the system.
a) Press and release the transmitter button once. You will hear 2 siren signals, the direction indicators will blink 2 times, the system will unlock the car doors
vehicle, will disable the starter interlock and the additional engine interlock circuit (if the appropriate connection has been made and programmed
function #15 is removed).
b) If the automatic re-arming function is enabled (feature #5), then after the system is disarmed, the LED will quickly flash
fire and the system will be armed again after 30 seconds, if during this time one of the doors, the hood or trunk was not opened, or was not turned on for
burning. You will hear the siren chirp 1 time, the turn signals will turn on 1 time and the LED will flash slowly. At this moment the system will also automatically
locking the car door (if function #6 is enabled), blocking the starter and auxiliary circuit, or closing the car windows (if the corresponding
appropriate connection and function #15 is programmed).
If the sensor circuit is faulty, then 5 seconds after the system is automatically armed, you will hear 3 additional siren signals, the turn signals will blink 3 more times and the sensor circuit will be bypassed.
